Volunteering & Social Work

  • Since 1973 I have been an active participant in the 12 Steps Program, I still attend 2-3 meetings a week to learn something new.

  • For 7.5 years I was an active board member of "Dr. Bob's House" in Akron, Ohio

  • I am the AA and AL-Anon History Guide in Akron

  • I often conduct and participate in the 12 Step Principles workshops

  • Since 1974 I have been active in many local institutions (International Institute, University of Akron, ... and others)

  • After moving to Akron in 1974, I have been volunteering in several local institutions (International Institute, EACH, University of Akron, .... to name the few)

  • Adoption Parents Wanda and Leon Bielawski for their family home, faith, independence, truthfulness and self-esteem;

  • Poland (then People's) for the Orphanage in Białystok, excellent education at the Maria Skłodowska-Curie Secondary School in Warsaw and at the University of Warsaw;

  • To Poles in Poland and abroad for the gift of heroism, patriotism and perseverance.

  • To the United States for the chances of a peaceful life in Akron, Ohio, and the history of AA;

  • To her husband Tage H. for 30 years of sobriety, love, respect, limitless trust and spiritual support in good times and difficult times (days ... weeks);

  • The 12-Step Program for a "road map" for life,

  • Every person who loved me, ignored me or disliked me very much - you were needed by me to put into practice the 4 Absolutes: Love, Unselfishness, Purity (intention and purpose), and Honesty. Thank you most for that.

I am grateful for:
